Refund Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
The short version. If a course isn't right for you, tell us within 14 days and we'll refund it, as long as you haven't finished it or claimed its certificate. Memberships can be cancelled any time, and we refund an annual membership in full within 14 days if you've barely used it.
Single courses, tracks and libraries
You have 14 days from purchase to ask for a full refund, provided you have not:
- completed more than 30% of the course's lessons, or
- passed the final exam or been issued a certificate for it.
Those limits exist because the whole value of a course is delivered as you read it. Beyond them, the material has been consumed and we can't take it back.
For a track or library, the same test is applied to the bundle as a whole.
Memberships
- Monthly: cancel any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; the current month isn't refunded, and access continues to the end of it.
- Annual: full refund within 14 days if you've completed fewer than three lessons and hold no certificates from that period. After 14 days, we don't refund part-years, but you can cancel to prevent renewal.
- Lifetime: full refund within 14 days on the same terms as annual. After that it's non-refundable, since it's a one-off purchase of permanent access.
Certification renewals
The yearly renewal fee is refundable within 14 days if you haven't used a renewed certificate in the meantime.
Payment plans
If you're paying in instalments and cancel within the 14-day window, we refund what you've paid and cancel the remaining instalments. After that window, the remaining instalments are still owed.
When we refund without question
We refund in full, at any time, if:
- you were charged twice for the same thing;
- you were charged after cancelling;
- a course you bought is retired and we can't offer a comparable replacement;
- a fault on our side stopped you from accessing what you paid for and we couldn't fix it.
When we don't refund
- Courses completed, or certificates already issued, outside the limits above.
- Accounts closed for sharing logins, copying course material or other serious breaches of the Terms of Use.
- Dissatisfaction with a certificate's standing after we've stated plainly, here and throughout the Portal, that it is a certificate of completion and not an accredited or licensed qualification.
How to ask for a refund
Email support@amilynnecarroll.com from the address on your account, with the course or plan name and the date of purchase. You don't need to give a reason, though we're always glad of the feedback.
We reply within 2 working days and process approved refunds within 5 working days. The money returns to the original payment method; your bank may take a few days more to show it.
Chargebacks
If something's wrong, please email us before disputing a charge with your bank — we can usually sort it out faster. Accounts under an open dispute are suspended until it's resolved.
Your statutory rights
This policy sits alongside your legal rights and doesn't replace them. Consumers in some countries, including the UK and EU, have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase, which can be waived once the content is accessed; where those rights apply, they take precedence over anything stricter here.
